They are new and have been hand forged in traditional forge, they are made from forged iron, and have been linseed oil quenched giving them a naturally carbon rich blackened surface finish, that is corrosion resistant.

Pair of tongs for one handed poking of wood in a fire, or with the hook on there tip for pulling wood about fire. Or two handed, picking up pieces of wood to position it in fire.
